The hotel offers great-sized, brand-new rooms with lovely fridge, a fantastic balcony with views across the rooftops plus terrace. There is an electric kettle, a refrigerator, and glassware.

Good location, nearby the center (ten minutes' walk). Nice staff but slow service.
The room was not clean. Fortunately, they gave me another room quickly. In general, I think they can do much better for the cleanliness of the rooms.

This hotel offers a good value for its price. It is not at all a budget accomodation, our room was pretty well furnished and clean, breakfast was convienent but not as good as we expected reading the other comments. Wifi and air condition working fine; the staff was generally helpfull, some speaking English (mostly, the daily shift). Also, the hotel is very close to the old city center and there is a good artisanal pizzeria just a few meters away on the Strada Maggiore.
Information on parking is a bit contradictory. Parking in the old city is an issue so people arriving by car can reserve a private parking or buy a daily ticket allowing them to leave a car in the city streets. On our arrival, the private parking cost was 15e. The daily ticket cost was 5E/day or 5E/day+4E daily ticket for the city buses. This was not made very clear at the hotel desk and we paid 10e for the daily parking and the ticket for the city buses.

We stayed here with another couple in july 2011. We thought we were booking budget accommodation but all of us were delighted with the hotel. the staff were very helpful for giving directions, ordering taxis etc. The location is ideal, just on the edge of the town centre. The hotel was clean and well equipped. We would definately return.

We were pleasantly surprised that all information we got about the hotel was accurate. Knowing from previous trips to Italy about "Italian standards" concerning hotels we booked the Pedrini hoping for the best and mentally prepared for the worst. The hotel is located very close to the historic center of the city of Bologna, next to main bus stops and very close to the central railway station. Taking in account that the hotel used to be a monastery the rooms are not really big, but clean and nicelly furnished. Our bathroom was of good proportions, towels were changed every day and, bed mattress confortable and pillows very clean.
Communication in English can be with some of the staff a bit difficult, but in general people were really friendly and helpful. We did not like the fact that the hotel staff doesn't really enforces the No Smoking Policy and guest smoke at the hotel corridors.

I liked that our room had a balcony, and it was quiet at night. Breakfast was included and very good. The staff were very nice.
Our a/c did not work; we could not address the issue b/c the one member of the staff who spoke English was not there. I wish the internet were available for more than one device at a time. In the morning, it was a bit noisy upstairs.

I had a wonderful holiday stay here, the location was fantastic, just steps away from the historic center, and luckily there was a great bakery nearby for rainy days.

Location
During the booking they said - the bathroom and the toilet should be inside the room. In my room they were outside, shared with other rooms. No air cond.
